September 29, 2026 00:11 UTCDF1CN@social.darc.de11Success!Today I build a small noise sniffer. It consists of a 10 turn transformer, a resistor and a SMA connector. I measured a coupling factor of -27,7 dB with the NanoVNA. Quite surprising since I would have expected -20dB due to the turn ratio. Guess the air gaps in the ferrite core (and the random amazon ferrite) add quite some loss. #hamchallenge HC33S
